The Middle Road (2008)
Approaching the 2008 Presidential election, evidence of political affect in the average American place is found along Interstate 80 –the ‘middle road’ that divides the United States into two halves. Black and white and color images capture the American place and the transience of American politics. The photographs were taken one week before the election and include 15 different places in 12 states.
